SCOLA: Writing Center/Study Center

The center having been located on the first floor of the Library. Writing Center gives support to all the undergraduate students (and graduate students depending on the availability) in areas listed below:

• improving academic writing skills in English (e.g. citing, referencing, analyzing, paraphrasing and so on.)
• giving feedback on the assignments, research papers, projects that the students are given by their departments,
• checking application forms for job, internship and education opportunities in terms of clarity, format, lexical and grammatical accuracy; thus, guiding the students,
• arranging presentations and workshops for students in small groups to improve academic writing skills that they experience difficulty.

ScOLa Study Center is located on floor -2 in the Library. The center is designed to provide co-curricular support and guidance to English Preparatory Program students. You may meet the instructors in the ScOLa Study Center to work on and develop your language skills in the areas which you think you need improvement (reading, listening, grammar, vocabulary or writing). Instructors will not only help you improve your weak areas, but they will also help you discover your weaknesses yourself and guide you to overcome them.
