eResearch@Ozyegin is a service of the Ozu Library to provide Ozu faculty, researchers and their supporting communities stable, long-term storage for their digital research and teaching output and to maximize exposure of their content to a world audience.
The guide provides information on the benefits of open access, how to locate open access resources, and the ways Ozu participates in the open access initiative.
The purpose of this policy is to provide global open access via internet to Özyeğin University’s scientific research results within the framework of open access principles. With this policy, the visibility of scientific output as well as the protection of the university’s intellectual heritage is assured.
Open Access to research publications aims to improve the recognition of the university and its researchers and also to increase the number of citation of the publications. It also ensures the rise of the prestige of the university.
Plus, this policy allows the development of new funding opportunities and the increase of international collaborations, resulted from the obligations incurred by the main public and private fund providers.
Moreover, this policy seeks to facilitate the sharing and the development of digital teaching materials and also the management of research and teaching activities. It also offers a useful platform which is supportive for the scientific development of the students in which they can share their academic works.

eResearch@Ozyegin is an academic, open-access repository. It aims to collect, preserve and make Ozyegin University’s scientific output available online, without any or the least financial, legal or technical restrictions, in order to increase the impact and the visibility of the institution and its authors. It was established in 2010 to support the dissemination of knowledge produced by the University members to the wider community both locally and globally.
The mission of eResearch@ozyegin is to provide a repository to collect, organize, archive, disseminate, and showcase the scholarly and creative works of Ozyegin University. eResearch@Ozyegin provide global open access via internet to Özyeğin University’s scientific research results within the framework of open access principles.
